Lord [Bjorn] the Hunter
[
Bjorn] started playing in the SCA in 2004, and in the few years since, has immersed himself in all things SCA. His Norse persona serves well his many interests, which include woodworking, singing, writing songs, brewing, and fighting. [
Bjorn] plays in the Barony of Iron Mountain (Birmingham AL) as well as holds fast his bonds with House
Aylekeepe, where he’s the household bard,
Meridian Foreign Legion, and his own house,
the Fenris Legion.
[
Bjorn] has also lent much to the TK community, with wikis featuring his songs and woodworking projects. His filk ‘Stuck in the Mead Hall’ has become a fast favorite and even praised in the blog of a professor of medieval literature who claims to ‘hate’ filks.
On the service side, [
Bjorn] is often seen at events helping out where he can. He was awarded a Meridian Cross for woodworking, in particular a reproduction 10th C Norwegian bed that was raffled for funds for the Meridian Social at GW XVII.
[
Bjorn] wields a hefty war maul dubbed “Doomsqueeker,
” as he rallies with the Meridian Foreign Legion at war events. Bjorn’s preferred weapons are pole arms, which combined with his height, make him an opponent to be feared on the battle field.Date: 2008-07-17 01:07:15

Signora [Ginny Isabella] Isabetta del Dolce resides in the beautiful Canton of Falcon Cree in southern Atlantia’s Barony of Nottinghill Coill.
[Ginny Isabella] grew up in the SCA, daughter of Lady Nansie of Woodstock, and enjoyed activities in the Shire of Nordenhalle, and surrounding lands, in the East Kingdom. Between years of university study, Ginevra lived for a brief time in the Barony of Delftwood, in the Kingdom of Aethelmearc.
Now as an adult member of the Society, she has found herself immersed in many different aspects and activities in the world of the SCA.
In the area of martial arts, she is authorized in both rapier combat and equestrian activities. She fights with an epee, but is interested in authorizing in other forms, such as schlaugger, which is becoming more popular in her area. One of her favorite pastimes is target archery using a beautiful recurve bow that had once belonged to her mother.
[Ginny Isabella] is an avid audience member at the tourneys, where she spends much time watching and supporting her beloved lord, Ulf, who is a great rapier and armored fighter.
She endeavors to gain skill in the fiber arts and is learning to sew her own garb and greatly enjoys embroidery. Her main embroidery projects have been stitched recreations of images from the Manesse Codex, replacing the figures and colors with those of friends and loved ones.
Our newest featured member has many other interests, including period dancing, embroidery, music, and herbcraft.
