What to do in Thunder's Keep

There are alot of things planned for you in TK. We are still making some of the main official pages for you to view, but in the meantime, you can make your own pages to add. Start with looking through Meridies to see what is happening there, and add information if you like. :)

Be patient everyone, I am working as fast as I can to bring you everything.

TK Needs YOU!

Now that we are 75 members strong, Thunder's Keep needs information! This site is made available to you so that you can share information by using the wiki's to create mini pages of information. recipies, instructionals, historical information, research, anything that will help others get information to use to make their SCA lives better. It is up to the member to add information about their groups and help bring the community into an informational renaissance. Please try to find things to add to the site, if you have questions or need help with sharing, contact [Bastion] and he will guide you. This site is created for much much more than another message board, let's use it to the best of our advantage!

Online Handles VS. SCA Names

I am noticing alot of Web style Handles joining. I am hoping that people who frequent TK, will use their SCA names or part of them as their Login names, it's hard enough as it is to keep track of the multiple handles a person has over the internet, but it also helps to keep the feel and purpose to this website, considering a name like 'ninja turtle' or 'Optimus Prime' would definately not fit here in our little medieval world, and a person would not introduce themselves as such at an SCA event, would they? If you have an SCA Name, use it proudly! WE all want to know YOU. The first step is learning to put the face to the name.

Thanks everyone for being here!

Aligning images

You can now align images by using LIMG and RIMG instead of the normal IMG-tag.

See Align Example. This can make images on wiki-pages flow a little better with images in them.

Update:
You can also use tables now. it's simplified compared to HTML, so you write | (pipe) for a new column and --- (3 minus) for a new raw. Example: <table>Column 1|Column 2 --- First data | second data</table>

And it becomes:

Column 1Column 2
First data second data

See <URI:pseudo_html.html> for more.

The best Thunder

Here are some highlights of what members have done and what else there are on Thunder's Keep:

[Bjorn]'s viking bed: 32.Woodworking

All members' diaries: <URI:diaries.html> Tip: Press the button "Start watching this presentation" on those who write interesting things!

Go to the forum-page and join the forums! You'll get a button "Read next post" on top of the page as soon as a new posting has been written in the forums you have joined.

You can make your own polls. Maybe you want to know what people think about your new hair or you simply want to know what people drink: <poll:5>

And don't miss all the SCA photos! It might also be fun to look at all the new members who have arrived the last week. They will surely appreciate some welcome messages from you.

Try that link to The most informative Wiki-pages at the top of the Courtyard! You can find the most informative pages, but also the most artistic ones like Baron Wylfred music if you go on. Put the wiki-pages that interrests you on watch and you'll be notified (to the right) when they are updated.

And why not wander among the households and kingdoms and make sure that your groups are well portrayed? Here on Thunder's Keep you can add your personal touch to the pages, like linking in your photos from the latest event. And as always: If you don't know how, just tell [hedda] or [Bastion]! Or just try and mess up, and we'll be happy to clean up your mess.

Emailing

You'll now get an email when something you watch (like wiki-pages you have created or people who's profile you have on watch) is changed.

This is unless you have disabled it in your personal attributes (Your profile => Change personal data => "Should TK send..." at position 5).

This also means that you generally don't have to be afraid that not so active members will never read your wiki-page comments.

I hope no one will feel spammed, but message me, [hedda] otherwise and I'll try to solve it.

[Lord Damien]

Rapier Fighter, Heavy Weapons Combat, Archery, This guy does it all. What does he do in his spare time? How about them Volkswagens?! Damien was a born fighter, picking up the Rapier and becoming one of Arenal's finest. Since then he has switched over to Heavy combat, where his unorthodox style gives him plenty of suprised looks/glares. Be sure to check his house out while you stroll through the Keep.

Signora [Ginevra] Isabetta del Dolce resides in the beautiful Canton of Falcon Cree in southern Atlantia’s Barony of Nottinghill Coill

[Ginevra] grew up in the SCA, daughter of Lady Nansie of Woodstock, and enjoyed activities in the Shire of Nordenhalle, and surrounding lands, in the East Kingdom. Between years of university study, Ginevra lived for a brief time in the Barony of Delftwood, in the Kingdom of Aethelmearc.

Now as an adult member of the Society, she has found herself immersed in many different aspects and activities in the world of the SCA.

In the area of martial arts, she is authorized in both rapier combat and equestrian activities. She fights with an epee, but is interested in authorizing in other forms, such as schlaugger, which is becoming more popular in her area. One of her favorite pastimes is target archery using a beautiful recurve bow that had once belonged to her mother.

[Ginevra] is an avid audience member at the tourneys, where she spends much time watching and supporting her beloved lord, Ulf, who is a great rapier and armored fighter.

She endeavors to gain skill in the fiber arts and is learning to sew her own garb and greatly enjoys embroidery. Her main embroidery projects have been stitched recreations of images from the Manesse Codex, replacing the figures and colors with those of friends and loved ones.

Our newest featured member has many other interests, including period dancing, embroidery, music, and herbcraft.
